Children’s Ibuprofen Recall
We want to inform you of a recent voluntary recall announced by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) involving a specific children’s ibuprofen product.
The recall affects Strides Pharma’s Children’s Ibuprofen Oral Suspension (100 mg/5 mL), 120 mL bottles, manufactured for Taro Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. The impacted lot numbers are 7261973A and 7261974A, with an expiration date of January 31, 2027.
This recall was issued after reports of a “gel-like mass” and black particles found in some bottles of the medication. While no widespread serious harm has been reported, the presence of foreign material means the product should not be used.
What you should do:
-
Check your child’s ibuprofen bottle for the lot numbers listed above

If you have an affected bottle, stop using it immediately
-
Safely discard the product or return it to the place of purchase if possible
